Stay tuned for more helpful articles in this series to make your website even better for your clients.
What is the Website Booking Plugin?
With Teachworks’ free Website Booking Plugin, you can easily integrate a booking solution into your website. This tool allows both new and existing clients to book lessons, join open classes, and enroll in courses based on your preferences. Thanks to its integration with your Teachworks account, all booking information becomes immediately accessible right after a client submission.
Teachworks’ Website Booking comes with a range of customizable settings including booking modes, general settings, button appearance settings, email templates and more.

After you’ve configured the plugin to meet your specific business needs, you can copy the provided code to add the booking solution to your website.
For more detailed information about the available settings, visit our knowledge base: Website Booking Plugin. If you would like to view a live demo of this feature, you can find one here: Website Booking Plugin Demo.
Adding Your First Open Class
If you’ve chosen “Join Open Classes” or “Both” under Booking Modes on the Website Booking Plugin settings page, you’ll need to add open classes to your Teachworks calendar to allow clients to join them.

In order to use this option, you’ll need to ensure that you’ve also enabled the Open Classes Add-on.
Once the initial setup has been completed, you can add your first open class by following the easy steps below:
1. Add a new lesson to the calendar – you can do this by going to Calendar > Add Lessons, or you can click on a timeslot in the calendar to add a lesson.
2. Complete all the necessary fields including the Teacher, Service and Location.
3. Under “Open Lesson”, enable the option to “Allow students to join lesson”. If you would like to set a student limit, you can update the “Available Spaces” field as needed.

4. The cost of the lesson will be determined using the Service List by default. However, if a student is logged in at the time of booking, the billing method on their profile will be used to determine the cost. If you would like to ensure a fixed cost for everyone regardless of whether or not they are logged in, you can use the Cost Override feature to do this.

5. Submit the form to add the open class to the calendar.
Joining an Open Class Through the Website Booking Plugin
Now that you’ve added your first open class, the process will work as follows when clients visit your website:
1. Clients visit your website and click the booking button.

2. They are presented with a list of open classes they can join. They can use the available filters to search for classes by Teacher, or they can search for classes by name.

3. After clicking the “Join” button for a specific open class, they will be presented with the booking form where they can enter their information.
4. The last step is to review their enrollment details and information. They can then click the “Complete Enrollment” button to complete the process.
Additional Website Booking Plugin Features
The Website Booking Plugin supports some additional features such as the ability to set default search terms for Open Classes. This option is particularly useful if you would like to show only results for specific open classes based on a search term.
