If you host online sessions regularly, you may be looking for online teaching software that will allow you to record sessions for future review. Teachworks offers a full integration with Lessonspace, software designed specifically for online teaching. Lessonspace offers their clients the option to record sessions automatically. Whether you want to play back sessions to evaluate tutor/teacher performance or make it possible for students to review previous sessions, this might be a great option for your business. What is Lessonspace?

Lessonspace is video conferencing software designed specifically for online education. Their goal is to make online sessions better than in-person ones. Lessonspace offers a range of features that make it a great choice for online tutoring including live collaborative whiteboards, real-time video chat, in-lesson text chat, screen sharing, file sharing, document annotation and much more.

Teachworks’ Lessonspace integration makes it possible to launch online sessions from the calendar by clicking the “Launch Online Lesson Space” button. Alternatively, you can include a link to online spaces in lesson reminder emails. These options make it quick and easy for tutors and students to access their online sessions.

Accessing Lessonspace Recordings in Teachworks

If you’re subscribed to one of Lessonspace’s Pro or Advanced plans, you’ll be able to record online sessions. For more information about recording sessions, you can visit the Lessonspace helpdesk: Allow and View Session Recordings

If you have Lesson Recordings enabled in your Lessonspace account, you can easily access them in Teachworks. To do this, you can follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Integrations & Add-ons page in your Teachworks account, and click “Settings” under the Lessonspace integration. 
2. In the integration settings, set the “Display Lesson Recordings” option to enabled and save the form.

3. Once you’ve completed the steps above, a “Recordings” field will display with links to any recordings when viewing more information about a specific lesson. This can be done on the Main Calendar as well as the Lesson History or Lesson History by student tables.

There are a couple of conditions that need to be met in order for recordings to appear in Teachworks. These are:

1. The recording stored in Lessonspace has to be associated with the same “space” that the lesson you’re viewing in Teachworks took place in.
2. The tutor and student(s) must have started the online session within 30min of the start time of the session recorded in Teachworks.
