Stay Organized and Informed with Teachworks’ Lesson Flags Add-on

Running a tutoring business is busy, and sometimes important lessons that need attention can get lost in the shuffle. That’s where Teachworks’ Lesson Flags Add-on steps in to keep you organized and informed. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the Lesson Flags Add-on.

What Is The Lesson Flags Add-on?

The Lesson Flags Add-on is a useful tool that makes it possible to mark particular lessons for administrators and staff to review. Tutors may use it in the following example scenarios:

  • Lesson went over the scheduled time
  • The student’s was late for their lesson
  • Unacceptable behavior by a student during the lesson
  • Administrator follow-up needed for an address or contact number change
  • Payment issues
  • Remarkable progress shown by the student
  • Technical challenges faced during the lesson
  • Health or safety concerns regarding the student

When a lesson is flagged, you can choose to be notified by email. The notification is sent to the company email address listed in your account. Getting notified immediately allows you to take action right away if something urgent has happened. Additionally, you can enable the “Flagged Lessons” dashboard widget to see flagged lessons when you login to your Teachworks account.

Getting Started With Teachworks’ Lesson Flags Add-on

Using the Lesson Flags Add-on is straightforward. Once activated, tutors can start using it immediately to keep you informed.

Activating Lesson Flags:

  1. Go to your Account & Settings.
  2. Select Integrations & Add-ons.
  3. Find the Lesson Flags Add-on and click “Enable.”

Flagging a Lesson:

If a lesson needs an admin’s attention, tutors can tick the “Flag Lesson” box when completing the lesson. In the text box below the checkbox, they can provide detailed notes.

Additional Ways To View Lesson Flags:

In addition to the email notification and dashboard widget mentioned above, flags can also be viewed on the following pages:

  • Lesson History Table: For a broader view of flagged lessons within a specific time range, use the Lesson History table found in Calendar > Lesson History. Choose your preferred date range and other options to get a detailed overview.
  • Lesson Summary Report: To see all flagged lessons and their comments in one place, use the Lesson Summary Report. Customize the report based on date, filters, format, and grouping parameters, and choose to display flagged lessons and their comments.
  • Student Profiles: A “Flagged” tag appears on student profiles for flagged lessons. Clicking the title of the lesson will display the lesson details including the flagged comments.
