Assigned Students Notification Add-on & Other New Updates!

We’ve been busy adding new features, fixing issues, and making improvements to Teachworks. Here’s a quick summary of everything you should know.

Assigned Students Notification Add-on

This new add-on sends a notification to your teachers/tutors whenever a new student has been assigned to them.

Limited/Early Access Features & Enhancements

The features below are still in limited/early access. If you would like to have it enabled in your account, please reach out to our support team.

• We have added a Credit Allocations download to the Invoices table. This feature works similar to the Payment Allocations download and shows which invoice(s) a credit note has been allocated to.
• A “Teacher Student Note” feature has been added that allows you to enable a field on student profiles that can be edited by a teacher/tutor and viewed by the relevant student or family.

• We have added a “Custom Company Address” feature to the Invoice Autopilot form for the “Invoice Company Address” limited access feature.

Reports Updates

• A Time Zone option has been added to the available columns in the Lesson Summaries report.
• Additionally, we’ve added a Customer Country option to the Lesson Summaries Report.

Employee Profile Update

• When viewing an employee profile with a “Pending” bio, the current bio will now also be displayed until the new bio has been approved by an admin.

Email Updates

• We have added a message about the Gmail and Yahoo DKIM and Return-Path requirement in applicable accounts.
• The Postmark Verifications table has been updated to show DKIM and Return-Path statuses separately.

Stripe Updates

• Additional code has been added to ensure Stripe payment methods, such as iDEAL and P24, that use bank redirects will record a payment in Teachworks even if the client doesn’t wait for the redirect from their bank back to the invoice to complete.
• We have added a student name to the Stripe charge “Description” field for payments made through the Website Booking plugin.

Other Updates & Enhancements

• A bug related to the Assigned Student Notifications Add-on has been fixed to prevent multiple emails to teachers/tutors under specific conditions.
• Validation has been added for wage payment by lesson to ensure that selected lessons and non-teaching events have not been deleted.
• We have added a “Service” option to the “Calendar Color” setting for the “Create Employee” action in Zapier.
• Bug fixed: Archiving a service will no longer cause issues if the service is currently used in the Website Booking Plugin.
• The “Unsynced Customer” page in the QuickBooks integration now reflects the “Include All Active Customers” setting.
• We have added a “Processed at” column to the Subscription “Billing History” page.
• The Conflict Validator Add-on has been updated to skip conflict validation when declining a requested lesson.
