New Add-on: Package Balance Validation
If you’re looking for an effective way to make sure students are not scheduled for more lessons than they’ve paid for, our Package Balance Validation Add-on will simplify your work.
The Package Validation Add-on allows you to prevent administrators and teachers from scheduling more lessons/hours than a student has available in their package. There is also a warn option that will display a prominent validation error at the top of the page, but still allow an override.
The add-on comes with two sets of permissions allowing you to either prevent scheduling or allow an override for different account types.
- Teacher Account Setting – this will control the setting specifically for teacher/tutor accounts.
- Administrator & Staff Account Setting – this will control the setting for the admin account as well as administrative staff accounts. You can also choose to disable the feature in admin and staff accounts.
Option 1: Allow Override
With this option enabled, the scheduler will see a validation error at the top of the page when they try to submit the form.
They will also see a checkbox at the bottom of the form with the option to override the package limit. Once checked, they’ll be able to schedule the lesson as normal, but they will be aware that the student has run out of package lessons/hours and can then take action accordingly.
Option 2: Prevent Scheduling
With this option enabled, the scheduler will see the same error message as above. However, they will not be able to override the validation and will not be able to schedule the lesson until a student has topped up their package.
