Simplify User Data Collection with Custom Forms

One of our most popular add-ons is the Custom Forms Add-on and there is a great reason for this. The Custom Forms Add-on allows you to create custom forms for collecting information from students and employees with ease.  It’s a great way to collect registration/enrollment information from clients or to collect applications from potential employees.  As soon as the form has been completed, a profile will be created and populated with the data entered automatically.  By taking advantage of the Custom Forms Add-on, you’ll realize many of the benefits it provides:

Customizable – You have control over what fields are included on the custom form. This allows you to collect certain information that is relevant to your business. For example, you can choose to add fields to collect the client’s education history or if you are using our Stripe Integration, you can add the billing fields to collect their credit card information.  If you use our Custom Profile Fields Add-on, you can add any custom fields you create to your forms as well.

Gather Accurate Date – Custom Forms guarantee that you will receive consistent data that is used to create profiles automatically within your Teachworks account. Using these forms removes the possibility of data being entered incorrectly by employees, which in turn will save you time by eliminating the need for data re-entry.

Website Integration – Custom Forms created in your Teachworks account can be integrated directly into your website. This ensures your customers remain on your website and don’t need to go elsewhere.

Along with the benefits Custom Forms offer, Teachworks has also made adding the forms you have created to your website quick and easy. When you have finished creating your custom forms, the next step is to add it to your website.  The steps below highlight just how easy it is to get them up and running:

1. Each Custom Form has a unique URL that can be used to add it to your website as a button or a text link. You can find the URL by going to Account & Settings > Integrations & Add-Ons > Custom Forms > Manage. On this page, you can copy the URL for each form from the “Form URL” column.

2. It is also possible to embed a Custom Form on your website using an iFrame. This option requires you to add code to your HTML. An example of the code you’d use is as follows:

<iframe src=”FORM URL” height=”650″ width=”900″></iframe> where “Form URL” would be the URL for the custom form you created.
